Nokia Music, Nokia’s free streaming music service, is now available in the U.S., the company has announced.
The service enables users to stream music from more than 150
exclusive playlists, curated by “an expert team of U.S.-based
musicologists” or artists such as Lana Del Ray or Rihanna.
Users can also create a personal soundtrack by selecting the “Create”
function. This feature generates a playlist, using a library with
“millions of songs,” based on an artist of user’s choosing.
Nokia Music playlists can also be taken offline. Another feature of
note is the “Gig Finder,” which highlights live concerts near the user’s
current location.
The service, which is ad-free and requires no registration or
subscription, is available to owners of Nokia Lumia 900 and 710. They
can download the app for free from the Windows Phone Marketplace.
